The trees are of mixed age but all producing olives with about 400l plus annually. The land is located on the fertile Stari Grad Plain and is situated just off the main road from Stari Grad to Vrboska. Access to the plot is from the main road and then along a track, There are about ninety trees of Oblica type of olives which produce the best quality of oil being up to 20% oil. Stari Grad Plain on Hvar is a cultural landscape that has remained practically intact since it was first colonized by Ionian Greeks from Paros in the 4th century BC. The original agricultural activity of this fertile plain, mainly centring on grapes and olives, has been maintained since Greek times to the present. There is also a beautifully preserved “Trim” shelter, which was used by workers to rest in and protect them from the weather.
